From where we came and for where we go

1995

It all started when pastors Mauricio and Denise Fragale were in South Africa, studying at the Rhema Bible Training Center and God spoke to them about opening a school along the lines of Rhema and planting a church in Barra da Tijuca.

2001

God opens a miraculous door for us to begin work on Avenida do Pepê in Barra da Tijuca, still under the ministry of the Igreja de Nova Vida.

2011

It was in August of this year that we began a new era, a new page. Like a supernova that explodes and gives birth to a new star, so it was with us and the Nova was born.

2019

We left Shopping Map to fulfill a promise that God had given us to have a bigger location. We arrived at the Freeway, which is where we are today: a place with capacity for more than 1500 people, facilities for children, parking, outdoor spaces, recording studios, administrative rooms and much more!

They met when they were both attending the same medical school: he was studying to be an angiologist and vascular surgeon and she was studying to be a gynecologist and obstetrician.

Some time later, they got married and, despite working in their professions, they already understood God's call for their lives. For several years, they worked between medicine and the ministry.

From 1994 onwards, Mauricio and Denise left the offices and surgical centers and began to dedicate themselves exclusively to ministerial work. Mauricio was already a pastor and the two accepted the challenge of leading an international church in South Africa. It was there that they attended the Rhema Bible Training Center, founded by Kenneth Hagin. They returned to Brazil three years later to accomplish here what God had placed in their hearts.

Denise Fragale is a pastor, alongside her husband, a doctor and an accomplished cook, having published the book Receitas com Amor and more recently the book Fruto do Espírito. They have three adult children and five grandchildren
